| Synopsis: |
| The film is a narrative short about an aging Mexican landscaper who begins to question whether he made the right decision to give up his former soccer career before he moved to the United States. Did he achieve the “American Dream,” by sacrificing his own family’s goals? |
| Character Breakdowns: |
| Jorge Reyes (Lead, Male 40s-60s): An aging landscaper who gave up his dream of being a professional soccer player to be the main provider for his family. Father of Rosalina and David.
Maria Reyes (Supporting, Female 40s-50s): A housewife who cares very much for her whole family. Jorge’s wife and mother of David and Rosalina. David Reyes (Supporting, Male 20s-35): Jorge’s unemployed son who works for his dad but lacks responsibility and refuses to improve his life. Rosalina Reyes (Supporting, Female 20s-30s): A recent college graduate who is visiting her family but is rarely around. Jamie Reyes (Supporting, Male, 40s-50s): Jorge’s younger brother who is a security guard at a soccer stadium. Rosalina and David’s uncle. |
