| A gay latino couple help their adopted 12-year old daughter Valentina go through her first period. |
| Character Breakdowns: |
| Gael, late 30s – early 40s, Latino. An interior designer, fond of fashion and dance. Enjoys listening to jazz music when cooking and baking family recipes. He’s the romantic type. He enjoys dancing and listening to contemporary music. He’s comfortable in his own skin and isn’t afraid to express his flamboyant / feminine side. Although confident, he can become frantic, anxious, and worried when problems arise in the family. He is very loving, kind, and giving.
Ignacio, late 30s – early 40s, Latino. An architect, very put together. He’s assertive, and knows when to take action. He is sure of himself. Handsome, charming, and endearing. Very accommodating and considerate. He is calm under pressure. He puts his family above anything else, they are his life and universe. His form of relaxation is catching up on a good book with a glass of wine in hand after dinner time. Valentina, 10-14 years old, Latina. A pre-teen who learns how to manage her first period with the help of her two dads. She doesn’t understand what’s happening to her body and becomes frightened and anxious similarly like her dad Gael. Although innocent, she is strong willed. She’s athletic and really good at playing soccer. She is kind and loving to her fathers. She wants to help them just as much as they want to help her. |

Director of Photography /Camera Operator: Daily rate: $150, copy of footage, IMDb credit, Meals provided – Must be able to capture 4K ProRes 422 24 fps. Capture blues, yellows, and browns in an image. Operate shoulder mount and gimbal (equipment will be provided shooting on Canon XA40). Experience with Studio Binder and Shot Designer, or willing to download and learn how to use. Boom Operator/ Soundie Daily rate: $125, copy of footage, IMDb credit, Meals provided – experience with TASCAM audio recording and Rode Mics (equipment will be provided). Gaffer Daily rate: $125, copy of footage, IMDb credit, Meals provided- experience with LED lights: soft boxes and LED panels (equipment will be provided). Willing to download Shot Designer on your computer and learn how to use. Production designer Daily rate: $100, copy of footage, IMDb credit, Meals provided- prop master and set dresser experience. Willing to download Final Draft and Movie Magic Scheduling on personal computer and learn how to use. |
